The Elevator Modernization Project was developed for Greenville
Technical College’s University Transfer and Allied Health Buildings for
the purpose of meeting current ADA regulations and to provide better
service for the staff and students.
Another goal for the project was to solve the poor conditions of
the existing elevators by installing new hydraulic elevators and tracts.
Existing car enclosures and
fire rated wall were to remain while existing openings were to be patched
and sealed after new elevator installation.
New elevators were fully modernized in order to ensure a higher
reliability and equipment life.
