Context Design Group developed the Kitchen and Restroom Renovation
Project for the YEVA Charter School in Summerton, South Carolina.
The goal of the Renovation was to update the existing Charter School to
satisfy current DHEC and ADA specifications.
The poor condition of the YEVA Charter School’s Existing Restroom
facilities required a complete overhaul to be brought up to the required
ADA specifications. The
Restrooms’ layout was redesigned with an increased square footage to
improve wheelchair accessibility. To
accommodate the increase the restrooms’ square footage, Context Design
Group integrated the space that was used as a dishwashing station. Also,
the existing interior ramp located at the Restrooms was removed and
replaced with an ADA compliant ramp.
Openings for the Existing Kitchen were permanently patched and sealed in
order to comply with current DHEC regulations. The renovate Kitchen
also incorporated a new door installation and floor mounted service
sink.
