This phase of expansion in the form of a design/build project represents an effort to increase DAA’s high-bay warehouse area. This expansion consisted of a high-bay narrow aisle configuration with super flat floors (F/Min 60) in order to utilize specialized fork lifts.

The facility has a minimum clear height of 30’-0" with ESFR (Emergency Suppression Fast Response) fire protection system for the storage of Group A, High Hazard Plastics. A draft curtain was also installed between portions of the high-bay which utilize ESFR and those that do not.

New shipping and receiving docks also had to be installed in this area as some had become obsolete and additional docks were needed because of increased throughput.

Context Design Group is responsible for all areas of design including Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in addition to providing Owner’s Representation Services during Construction Activities.
