Phase 2 Molding Bay Expansion and Tool Room

This phase of expansion affects DAA’s Molding Bay and adds a new Tool Room. The building incorporates state-of-the-art space utilization for flexibility and placement of machines.

The Plastic Injection Molding High Bay was expanded by 22,000 sq ft. It is designed to incorporate up to a 4000 ton injection molding machine to provide automotive plastic components. This section has an 80 ft clear span and accommodates a 40 metric ton bridge crane. The structural system is designed to allow for an additional 40 metric ton crane at some point in the future.

The molding area has a 2 ft thick mat foundation in order to accommodate the massive equipment within. The mezzanine contains mechanical and electrical support systems.

The Tool Room addition represents 16,800 sq ft of additional floor area. This area has a 10 ton bridge crane and an open workspace to allow flexibility and better efficiency in servicing parts.
